Facebook Friday 3/2/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday! First Facebook Friday of March to be exact. Woot, woot! I don’t know about you all but we’ve had some crazy weather this week in Ohio. It started out nice with some warm 60 degrees and rain. Little signs of spring were popping up everywhere as well and the trees were rejoicing! But then today happened… we got 3-5 inches of snow overnight and the trees are probably a bit shellshocked, haha. Luckily, as most weather changes around these parts, it’ll probably all melt by tomorrow because mother nature just loves making us all topsy turvy every day.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This Facebook Friday is going to be a tad different because I’m going to cheat a little bit. I wasn’t super active on Facebook last week but I did share some pictures that, at the time, I chose not show on here. BUT! Since I have some really awesome blogger friends who find tidbits in my posts that I sneak in (looking at all of you O.O), I’m going to share the pictures from last week and the videos from this week. Unfortunately, my meme game was low this week so no memes this round but I think you’ll enjoy what I have in store anyway.

Up first I shared a cool video of this guy who makes sculptures out of fruits and vegetables:

I don’t know about you guys but I can’t even cut half of these fruits straight let alone make owls and flowers out of them!

The next video I shared was ABSOLUTELY the cutest! Baby chimp Mussa was rescued from poachers and this pilot was tasked with flying him to his new jungle home. I could only just barely handle this level of cute:

Now as for the pictures, as a few of you smart cookies have figured out my news, I’ve decided to share the pictures we posted to Facebook to make the announcement cause you know nothing is official unless you post it on Facebook.

My husband shared this picture first with no words. A few people understood what this meant but most people didn’t. So I shared this photo about 12 hours later:

It suddenly made sense to everyone and a lot of people had a good laugh over my husbands humorous announcement. So yes, I’m pregnant. 21 weeks and 5 days currently. It’s a huge trial that I was not prepared for but I have a pretty good support system that tolerates my body snatcher rants. We opted not to know the gender so when I know in about 4 months, I will share. πŸ™‚

So that’s it for this week’s Facebook Friday. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias? Let me know in the comments below and have a great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. πŸ™‚

  1. Bun in the oven! I love it! β€πŸ’–β€ So exciting. I have to say the chimp video almost made me tear up. You can tell the pilot loves animals. Look how he’s just sitting with him like he’s his mom. 😍 That made my day…

The carvings are amazing. I couldn’t imagine doing that! πŸ’™ Thanks for sharing all of this. Happy Friday!

        1. You have a happy Facebook Friday! Baby news, cute and adorable video….um okaaaay I may have exaggerated on the Ark comment πŸ˜‰ hahaha. But I have no doubt that he could build one! I’m just happy the rain stopped for today (2 1/2 days on top of what had fallen over the past weekend is enough for now).

  2. Your husband is a riot! How is body snatching baby Beep ❀ doing? How are you doing? We may be coming up in April. My husbands grandmother is not doing so well so we may be making our trip earlier than expeced. I will let you know. Happy Friday Nel! πŸ™‚

    1. Hahaha he definitely is. He cleaned that oven too just so he could take this picture. I assure you, it does not stay this pretty. Baby Beep is doing pretty good; likes dancing in there especially to Beethoven unless it’s trying to tell us it hates Beethoven, lmao.
Aww I’m sorry grandma is not doing well but if you do come up, you know I would LOVE to see you and you can see my whale self, haha. Happy Friday!

      1. Hahaha I know my oven is not clean. I was just talking about that to my husband the other day. Baby beep has snatched your body huh! I am glad to hear things are progressing well. πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to see pics of Beep. I will let you know if I am going to come up. We definatly need to hang a bit. πŸ™‚

        1. Yeah! And he had to go the nontoxic route so pro tip, baking soda/water paste on the oven, leave it on for at least 12 hours and then take a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray and wipe with a cloth. Stuff comes right off! It’s crazy.
Okay! Another reason to look forward to April! Maybe if you come by the end we can go see Infinity War together since they changed the date.

    1. πŸ™‚ Thanks Cim! I hope the body snatcher is as cute as it looks on the ultrasound. Might make up for all the grief it gave me the first few months πŸ˜‰

      1. Body snatcher is hilarious. The best part about being human is we are wired to forget the grief the moment we see their sweet innocent face.

  3. hehe sounds like the weather we get over here- a few weeks ago we had daffodils (way too early)… now loads of snow! Wow those sculptures are crazy good!! (I also am lucky if I cut a vegetable straight lol) AWW that chimp was so cute!!! hahaha oh my goodness your husband is hilarious!!! That’s such a good way to make the announcement!! and congratulations again!!! ❀

    1. Yes! We had daffodils too! Poor things just went into shock. Glad you enjoyed the videos! I 100% thought of you on the chimp one. πŸ™‚ Haha yes, the husband has a special brand of humor. Thank you! It’s gonna be an interesting second half of 2018 that’s for sure. lol

  4. Haha! The bun in the oven pic is awesome!! I love the baby pics though…ultrasound pics always make me go gaga!! Then they make me want another baby and hubby looks at me like I’ve lost my mind, LOL! I’m past that stage, but I would so have loved to have had 2 girls…oh well!! I’m so happy for you again, congrats!! It makes me so happy ❀ ❀

    1. Hehe, yeah that bun was all my husband’s idea. He likes to be clever and unique when he can! Hahahaha I wish I would have known that earlier. I would have sent you the 10 week picture when it was just a tiny bean baby! Oh boy! You’re better than me. I don’t know if I want to go through this again. It’s like the biggest, hardest trial of my life ever so far. Cross your fingers it’s a boy! I really want a boy cause there are too many girls in my family, hahaha. Thank you! ❀ πŸ™‚

      1. Awww, a bean baby!! I love that! 😍 Haha! I just get googly over them; I wouldn’t actually have another one, especially now. All my pregnancies have been high risk for preterm labor and I’ve miscarried 3x, so pregnancy for me is easy because I never had morning sickness or felt bad but pure terror because the entire time I never know if I’m going to go into labor. My middle son spent weeks in the NICU because he was a preemie, and that’s just the worse feeling. But…if I were 6 yrs younger and Kayley were 1 or 2, I might do it again. I miscarried shortly after her, so I guess it wasn’t meant to be, and hubby has had a vasectomy since then so that ship has sailed. But your right it is the biggest, hardest trial…are you feeling ok? Lol, I’ll keep my fingers crossed but girls are more fun and this is from someone with 2 boys, lol. Though boys are less maintenance! ❀❀❀❀

        1. Oh wow! I am grateful not to be high risk. I’m so jealous you didn’t have morning sickness or any of that but yeah the terror had to have been much worse. I had mild morning sickness; mostly nausea especially when driving. It let up at 14 weeks thank goodness. Wasted so much food, haha. Now I just consider it trading symptoms. I had hemorrhoids for a while, yeast infection which cleared up but now it’s mostly trying to figure out how to sleep all night and numb leg which I read up is probably cause the baby is resting nice and comfy on my sciatic nerve but we’ll see what my midwife says tomorrow when I go in for my check up. Haha, my husband doesn’t care what we have but I want a boy so bad. Too many girls in my family. We’re 50/50 though cause his whole family is boys and mine is girls!

          1. High risk is no fun for sure! But I’m glad I never had morning sickness! I’m glad you are feeling better though, well, the hemorrhoids had to have to been awful! I did get yeast infections when I was pregnant and frequent urinary tract infections…weird! Oh, no!! I had sciatica the entire time I was pregnant with my 2nd starting at about 17 weeks until he was born! Ugh! It’s so painful. I have it now because I herniated 3 discs in my back over the yrs so the press on my nerve, and it’s very frustrating when it hurts. You definitely need a prenatal massage!! Lol, funny! My hubby always wanted a girl so he could spoil her and I wanted boys…then I wanted a girl so badly to dress up, haha!! Thankfully, she’s a girly girl and likes to dress and refuses to let me cut her hair, or I’d have been disappointed…maybe! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a boy then! πŸ’™πŸ’™
