Reactionary Tales

Facebook Friday 9/8/17

Hey, Hey! It’s Facebook Friday!!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This week was a bit of a doozy. Since Labor Day was Monday, I had an extended weekend but it still felt like the longest week ever even though it was shortened. Of course I looked to Facebook for some fun and inspirational things to see out in the world wild web.

I came across this picture page that someone shared that resonated with me enough to share on my own page. Yes, it may be viewed as a motivational cliche but I know some really spoiled kids right now and it was just a reminder to me about the the huge potential we all have of becoming extraordinary beings in many ways.

Next I’m going to share two videos because the only picture I shared was of me and my friend and I don’t think she wants her face on my blog since I had to coerce her to take the picture in the first place, haha.

The first video will make you scream “AWWWWW” and go hug your dog if you have one or a stuffed dog if you have one of those. Pit bulls are my absolute favorite breed so I squealed with major delight when I saw this video and begged my husband to get me a duplicate set:

My second video made me hearty laugh out loud. A friend shared it to me because everyone that knows me and sees anything book related, Outlander related, Game of Thrones related, etc, shares things on my Facebook or tags me in it. This woman is in Barnes & Noble looking for a book and her reaction to them not having her book is a fan level beyond anything I’ve ever seen. I reposted this to my page with the caption, “If I ever reach this point in my life, make sure I’m arrested.” with lots of laugh emojis. You have to watch it to the end because the cashier’s very last reaction is the funniest part!

That’s it for this week. Have you seen anything interesting or fun in your social media this week? Do you agree with the woman about the Misery series?? Let me know in the comments below!

I love that book page. So beautiful! The Barnes video is hilarious. There have been times when I’ve felt the same way in Barnes because they don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, LOL. <3 Great post, Nel! Thanks for sharing.

Lol, I watched the video and just thought maybe I should check out this series she’s talking about? I’m such a book nerd.

Bahahahahaha. I’ve never seen it in person myself. Remember our conversation from this morning?? That cashier definitely refrained from punching thoughts especially at the end when he pops his head in and is like “but I can order it online!” hahahaha

Aww I love that post you shared!! And double AWWWWWWWWW for those dogs!!! So cute!! hahaha that woman in the bookshop is hilarious on so many levels- I mean, to be as fair as possible to her, I have thought in my head sometimes something like that when I’ve been a bookshop that doesn’t sell a book I want- buuut I’ve only ever been screaming inside. My most extreme reaction would be to just whip out my smartphone and check abebooks or the library catalogue 😉 I do feel immensely sorry for the shop assistant though, having dealt with customer service before- poor guy!! I agree if I ever get to that point I think I’d need to reassess my life a little 😉

Hahahahaha I know right. After I came down from laughing I was sitting here like why didn’t she just preorder it? At least that way she’d be top of the mailing list to get it but then my second thought was the nerd in me curious about the book series she was talking about and if it really is worth this kind of hype, hahahahaha. I thank this woman for providing such hysterical laughs for me.

hahahahaha I know right!?! Yes- surely she could have just ordered it. hahahaha I was curious too- but I was also a little scared that if I read that book I’d suddenly be screaming in shops- I think I’m bananas enough as it is lol 😉 hahahaha me too!!

Lololol the lady at Barnes and Noble is sooooo hilarious!!! I h s ‘ve felt like going crazy like that many times and sometimes even at the grocery store when they don’t have my favorite stuff…….but I’ve never actually gone off like that!!!

Same here but there’s no way I could let it explode out unless I was having the lowliest of the lowest days and even then it would slip out on accident not on purpose!

I wonder how many people who watch that video will now google Paul Sheldon and perhaps attempt buy one of his books? I know I had to because I know Misery was written by Stephen king… Paul Sheldon is the character “Author” From the book written by Steven king.
