(Good to know the above information cause I didn’t know who created it the first time around)

Three things about me –

What don’t you all already know??

Let’s see….

  • I’ve never seen Frozen and have no interest in ever watching it but I started watching Moana and I really enjoy that Dwayne Johnson can sing.
  • I would never, ever cheat on my husband but if Idris Elba walked up to me and confessed undying love for me, I would request one, never-to-be-spoken-of-again, night with the man. That’s reasonable don’t you think?? 😉
  • I love sushi and my husband introduced me to a restaurant that makes surritos! That’s a sushi burrito, no joke. Best food invention anyone could have ever come up with! Here’s a picture:

Questions from Silas –

  • What is the weirdest thing you have seen in someone else’s home?

I would love to answer that but the answer is NSFW; or I guess NSFNB (Not Suited for Nel’s Blog)

  • What is the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

Best purchase would definitely be our honeymoon to Florence, Italy. It was our first time going across the pond and it was absolutely amazing. I don’t know if I have a worst purchase honestly. I’m the type that researches the hell out of something before I buy it; big purchases anyway. Only thing I can think of is buying a food item that looked good and then finding out it ONLY looked good.

  • What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?

When I was younger, I rollerbladed regularly. A lot of people don’t think this is dumb but I do. My mom took me and a few other kids to the park and I got it into my head that I could conquer rollerblading down this really big hill successfully. Suffice to say, I didn’t make it down the hill. Soon as I picked up speed, I panicked. I started falling down and instead of putting my hands out to stop myself from falling, I felt my face was a better option; my chin to be exact. Funniest thing though was I go to stand up and I didn’t cry, probably cause I was in shock, but I’m dripping blood and my mom runs up and goes, “Suck it up! You’re fine! It’s a scratch” then used her water bottle to splash water on my face. Turns out she was wrong cause I needed 8 stitches, hahaha.

  • What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

Most interesting thing I watched this week was Okja on Netflix. That movie was rough on my emotions. If you haven’t seen it yet, but plan to watch it, have some tissues or a roll of toilet paper nearby.

  • What is the one thing you have tried million times, still can’t do.

Eat a quarter of a banana without it being masked in something else and swim. My husband told me he would pay me $10 dollars to eat a quarter of a banana. I took one small bite and burst out crying. (True story. I have issues.) As far as swimming is concerned, I like my feet touching land or able to see land. It’s all in my head, I know but I can’t.

  • Bonus fun question -What’s a body part that you wouldn’t mind losing?

My left third toe because its the same size as my left second toe so it’s probably not necessary to have them both. (But I may or may not have alien/starfish origins so it’s a possibility the toe would grow back :P)

Top Post –

Going based off WordPress stats, my best day was June 28. That day I wrote the post Those Phrases so we can just call that my best post.

I’m not going to nominate anyone this round because I did this one for fun and I suck at choosing people. If you haven’t done this award yet, consider yourself nominated and answer Silas’ questions. If you have done this award before, and like these questions, share your answers with me in the comments below!

Haha thanks! Yes, please try it! Use these questions too cause they’re great! You have a great weekend as well. 😀

  1. Silas

Ahh! Yay u did it! Love your answers! Ahh your mom seems real tough but I kinda laughed at the way you described that incident. Hahah!
Thank you again for your kind words and also for doing this!! 🙂 🙂

    1. Nel Post author

Haha no problem! Laughs are always welcome and I honestly I laughed too cause she looked like a crazy person throwing water in my face.
You are so very welcome. 😀

  2. Lana (Sleepless in wherever)

Starfish, huh? I never would have guessed )) I think maybe any husband would forgive his wife for a night wit Idris Elba, the man is just yummy. I’m not married but I have a list of men I’ll need to discuss with my future husband, something should be arranged

    1. Nel Post author

LOL! How long is this list? I have a few but I try to limit myself to just Idris Elba. Jason Mamoa is a close second.

      1. Lana (Sleepless in wherever)

Jason is #1 on my list and this thing we have between us (mind reading!) is seriously starting to creep me out. Get out of my head, woman!!!
Kidding, I love my mind buddy. It’s like talking to yourself without people thinking you’re crazy ))

        1. Nel Post author

Hahaha Jason Mamoa is a god. I’m so jealous of his wife. I watched his short film and just about died, it was so beautiful. I love you back mind buddy! 🙂

          1. Nel Post author

Omg. I’ve watched Conan too many times and paused it too many times as well. I haven’t seen Road to Paloma but it’s on my list for this weekend. And of course you have Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones and he was also in a show called Red Road which got cancelled and Frontier which just started on Netflix. If he’s in it I’m watching it.

          2. Lana (Sleepless in wherever)

GoT is a given, really, not even a question. Red Road was pretty good and I was isappointed it got cancelled, but now I’m waiting for Justice League for my JM fix and hope DC won’t mess it up the way they did it with Suicide Squad. I swear if ever I met Jason I would be a panting mess of a woman, I don’t know how his wife handles all that male goodness

          3. Nel Post author

I know right! She’s so tiny and he’s so large (figuratively and literally ;)) I hope DC doesn’t ruin it either but I think he’s supposed to get his own movie at some point so we get Aquaman’s back story.

  3. delphinethebabbler

OMG you’ve never seen Frozen??!!! BUT WHYYYYY?!?!?!? I’m a huge Disney nerd, I saw Frozen in theaters twice, went to see it at Disney on Ice and even have the soundtrack downloaded to listen to during my morning hikes!
HAHA- I love your answer to the body part you wouldn’t mind losing – I totally agree!
I look forward to reading more from you in the future Nel…Happy Blogging 🙂

    1. Nel Post author

Hahaha I’m a Disney nerd myself but I prefer classic animated Disney with the except of Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc and most recently Moana. I think I got turned off of Frozen because it was just too overhyped. I posted a picture of all my Disney movies if you want to check out that post. It’s called “This Was My Childhood” or something like that.
Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. I really appreciate it and hope to see you regularly in these parts! 😊

    1. Nel Post author

Nope. I think they’re disgusting. The smell and especially the taste and I do not get along. Only way I can stomach it is if I don’t know it’s there cause it’s masked by other fruit haha

      1. Noriko

LOL Oh,here’s a little unknown fact of mine; I can eat banana as is – whether it’s room temperature or frozen, but I cannot stand Banana juice. I cannot stand any flavor of shakes, either – I just can’t stomach the texture lol

          1. Nel Post author

No! This is a first for me! And I’m adding that to my list of things I’m not ever going to try when I come to Japan

          2. Noriko

In that case, just remember they sometimes throw bananas in things called ‘fruit mixed juice’ lol

          3. Nel Post author

I feel like your mixed fruit juice and ours is different. I leaned that that when we went to Italy. Fanta there is definitely not Fanta in the US. Like literally worlds apart.

          4. Noriko

OMG, I wonder what fanta is like in Italy! Now, we could talk about food for hours!! lol

          5. Nel Post author

Maybe you’ve inspired me to make a post about American food compared to Italian food. 😁

          6. Nel Post author

I’m gonna put that in the works! Just for you 😁. Thanks for inspiring me!

  4. LizScanlon

Oh my god, fair play to your mom, she was just trying to keep the panic down after you fell… but ouch!

Idris Elba… remember we talked about him some while back here? Yeah, I found a TV show on Netflix he is a detective in.. and have been binging on it for the past few days… he’s quite a sight alright! 😀

    1. Nel Post author

Luther!!!!!! 😍😍 Seriously my favorite show because of him and because of Alice. She is straight ruthless. They’re in production of a new season too!

      1. LizScanlon

Ha, yes 🙂 Was just about to head back here and say it was Luther… brill show indeed and yes, Alice rocks! 😀 what a woman! I shall defo keep an eye out for new eps!

  5. theorangutanlibrarian

haha don’t worry about the bananas- I’ll eat enough for the two of us 😉 Ouch that roller blading story is tough (I don’t think it’s dumb though, I’m pretty impressed, cos my balance is awful!!) And I can totally understand about Idris Elba 😉

    1. Nel Post author

Hahahaha yes! I am grateful that you will eat all the bananas so I don’t have to cry. Yeah, I don’t know if I could rollerblade now but as a child that’s what I did when I wasn’t reading. And I hope you’ve seen Luther! If not you should definitely remedy that situation.

  6. hsimone

Great answers! I love Moana and Frozen. 😄

I’m beginning to understand the banana thing. I used to love them, but now I can only have them sparingly. I actually cringe when I see chocolate and banana being mixed in some fashion – yuck! 😜

    Thanks for sharing!
