Facebook Friday 4/20/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday and it actually looks like Spring today!

What a week I’ve had this week. Our flooring project started on Monday and man the things you find under carpet. We had no idea there was 2 layers of old 1960’s tile under there. The contractor was worried at first that it might have asbestos but thank goodness that was not the case cause that’s just one financial headache we didn’t need. However, now the project has been extended to tomorrow because that took extra time, as well as the fact that further calculations showed we did not have enough flooring so we had to scramble and get 6 more boxes expedited. Then we got a blizzard on Thursday which just puts anyone in a bad mood considering it’s April. Fun stuff right?

In happier news, I went to the OB yesterday and my midwife told me that so far this is a perfect pregnancy cause she sees 60-90 patients a week and someone always has something in their notes. I don’t have anything so far so crossing my fingers it stays that way even at the actual birth. And then in even happier news, today’s Facebook Friday stuff is sure to make you smile so let’s stop talking about me and get to the fun stuff shall we?

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I shared a meme this week on Facebook that made me and quite a few other people chuckle:

Image may contain: text

Clever person who came up with this yeah? πŸ™‚

I also shared an animal video that made my heart absolutely soar watching it:

I know he’s probably in captivity or some type of sanctuary but you can tell his keepers love him to death and treat him very well! ❀

Lastly, I didn’t share this picture on Facebook but it did show up as a Facebook memory from 3 years ago. I shared it to Mischenko and her reaction convinced me I should share it with you all too. Back in my animal care days, I worked at a doggy day care called Camp Bow Wow and encountered my first wolf hybrid! Imagine being called up front to take back a Siberian husky mix and encountering this guy:

wolf at DDC

His name is Yogacheetu or something like that and he was absolutely gorgeous but scary at first look! I was nervous but then he turned out to be a big ole sweetie pie. Loved playing with this lab puppy named Ella but let me tell you, when he opened up his mouth and howled — my goodness. Firstly, my whole head could fit in his mouth. Secondly, there is nothing like a wolf’s howl. Absolutely nothing. I mean it makes humans and animals freeze in their tracks with its beautiful eerieness.

That’s it for Facebook Friday. Hope you all had great weeks and even better weekends and I’ll see you Monday!

Facebook Friday 4/13/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

It’s also Friday the 13th. Black cats are cool though so don’t be that superstitious but I’d avoid walking under ladders and breaking glass if you can help it. πŸ˜‰ This was quite an interesting week weather wise in my neck of the woods. It started out in the 30s, Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday we got all 4 seasons in one day. It started out a warm, sunny 50Β° F and then dropped to where it was cold enough to start snowing. The snow then turned to hail and the hail into rain followed by 50mph winds. All we were waiting for at that point was a tornado and an earthquake and we would have been set. Yesterday was a nice and toasty 75Β°F and I actually had to switch my car to AC from heat and this morning it’s a nice and breezy 65Β°F but it’s supposed to go back to being cold next week. Boo.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I went into this post today thinking I didn’t share any memes on any platform but I actually did share a meme on my personal Twitter. It’s quite cool too! It’s showing the evolution of the alphabet from ancient symbols to English:

Pretty cool right?

As for the video, this was also shared through Twitter. My husband actually saw it on his Twitter first and I laughed so hard I almost peed so I told him to share it to me:

If you’ve never heard this song, it’s okay because the whole point is just me imagining someone listening to their dryer making weird noises and starts bopping their head to the beat because it sounds like an actual song, bahahahaha.

Lastly, I shared a picture of an inspirational message from my new favorite yogurt:

And, I didn’t share this picture, but I took it extra special for my buddy Cim. Cim, I got Wendy’s that same day thanks to our comment thread and it was glorious. πŸ˜‰

Facebook Friday 4/6/18

Hey, hey it’s Facebook Friday!

I apologize for not posting the last two days. Wednesday I just had mush for brains. I attribute it to the weather because it snowed the entire day. Spring is looking farther and farther away. So sad especially considering my birthday is next month and I’ve never had snow on my birthday that I can remember so cross your fingers we kick this cold! And then yesterday I spent half the morning at the OB because I had to do an hour long glucose test. For those that don’t know, that’s where they make you drink a small bottle of this orange syrup, sit for an hour, and then draw your blood so they can test your blood sugar. It’s all related to diabetes. I don’t have it but babies in the womb could possibly develop it. I also got a TDAP shot which is tetnaus and whooping cough so now I can’t lift my arm to shoulder height cause it just hurts today. Joy.

On a happier note, I went to Wendy’s yesterday and it was glorious because I haven’t had Wendy’s in weeks since mine burned down and the next closest one is out of my way. Chicken nuggets are the best!

Anyway, this Facebook Friday is going to be a special edition because it’s basically an exclusive to you my lovely WordPress followers. I did not post anything to social media at all this week in the ways of memes, pictures or videos. I didn’t even realize I didn’t until I looked and saw that Friday was coming up and I had nothing from Facebook or Twitter. However, a few followers (looking at you Susan πŸ˜‰ ) have been wanting to see my pregnant belly. My mother bugs me for a picture every month so I thought today I’d share that picture for you all but in black and white cause I’m a tiny bit self conscious about being so round especially considering this is the biggestΒ  I’ve ever been in my entire life. But before we get to the picture, I took a quick video clip of baby’s heartbeat while I was at the doctor. You’ll have to turn your volume up to hear it real good but if you ever wondered what it sounds like when you’re sharing a body, that’s not from TV, here you go:

That’s 150 beats per minute. To give you an idea, average adult resting heart rate is only 60-100 beats per minute. Smaller the heart, faster it beats. Larger the heart slower it beats. Fascinating stuff.

Following that, here’s the little body snatcher from the outside. I’m currently 26 weeks and some change. About 2 and a half more months to go:

So there you have it. Life information dump for extra special exclusive Facebook Friday, baby edition. I hope you all had a wonderful week and if you saw anything cool in your social medias this week, let me know in the comments below!

Have a great weekend and see you Monday! πŸ™‚

Facebook Friday 3/30/18

Hey, hey it’s Facebook Friday!

It’s also Good Friday. That has something to do with Christianity I think but I couldn’t tell you for sure. For me it means I still work but only for half of the day which is nice. I’m hoping to do some more spring cleaning this weekend in preparation for our big flooring project. We were finally able to get the materials purchased and my carpet loving husband decided luxury vinyl plank all over was more economical and cleaner in the long run than carpet (which is what I wanted in the first place so hooray!). I’m also hoping to get back into some reading cause it’s been a couple weeks but I’m super excited for Sunday cause I’ll be meeting up with a fellow blogger again and you all will be able to get a real post out of us this time; pictures included. So stay tuned for that on Monday.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Let’s dive right in. As usual, I didn’t share a meme but I did share a tweet that I completely agreed with about author/reader interaction:

Capture

I don’t retweet often but when I read this, it resonated.

Next, I did share a video on Facebook! It’s about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen but I’m a sucker for cute things so I’m sure I’ll say this again in some other post as well:

❀ ❀ ❀

Lastly, I did share a photo. I made brinner which is breakfast food for dinner and it consisted of pancakes. I’ve made pancakes plenty of times before. That’s no secret but I decided to try the Ultimate Pancake recipe on the back of the Bisquick box and these pancakes came out looking like restaurant quality style. I was so proud of myself that I shared a picture declaring that they were the most perfect pancakes I’d ever made:

And that’s it! Did you see or share anything interesting in your social medias this week? Do you have Good Friday plans? Let me know in the comments below and have a good a great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. πŸ™‚

Facebook Friday 3/23/18

TGIF. I need a drink! Too bad I can’t though but man what a day, what a week! Not only did it snow out of nowhere, but I got a huge crack in my windshield and had to get it replaced (unexpected expenses is always a fun time) and then I got into with my boss this morning because he walked in in a craptastic mood and tried to take it out on me (which I was not having). Counting down the hours until I can go home and vegetate for two days!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Another week gone by and no cool memes to share. Maybe next week.

I did share a video though! If you ever needed a pick me up, this guy says it great. I watched it once and then I watched again because like he says, and you’ll see, “it can always be worse.”:

Lastly, I didn’t share any pictures to Facebook but I did get a couple videos of the alien inside me moving. I don’t want to freak you guys out though so here’s a picture of the other cat in the same blanket as jerk cat last week that my husband took and shared to me:

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Sorry it’s coming to you late but better late than never right?? Hope you all had a great Friday and please have an even better weekend!

See you Monday! πŸ™‚

Facebook Friday 3/16/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Man did I have a busy week! I have not read a book in a little over a week sadly (not including a certain ARC). Something about Spring being possibly on the horizon that gets you up and doing all kinds of projects. Our latest one is remodeling all the floors in the downstairs of our house before the baby gets here. We’ve had so many free estimate visitations and gone to so many stores but we may have finally settled on the place to get materials and the actual contractor who will do the work. Cross your fingers!

Surprisingly, I did share a bit on social media. Actually surprised myself cause I don’t remember sharing anything until I went back and look. So let’s get the fun stuff started eh??

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I actually shared two memes! Both of them occurred on Twitter and it’s really easy to hit that retweet button even when you’re on the go. These memes got me all nostalgic about when I’ll be able to dive good into my reading again:

Now if you’ve seen the television show “Community” you’d understand this parody chalkboard message. If you haven’t, well, Google the phrase “treat yo ‘self” and introduce yourself to hilariousness.

Here’s the second meme:

If you didn’t know, now you do! I don’t know about you all but I use a lot of these sayings so thank you Shakespeare!

Next, I shared a video on Facebook that is so adorable to me. The guy in this video is the dog’s owner but he had a long stint in the hospital and lost 50 pounds so his dog doesn’t even recognize him and is nervous because he believes he’s approaching a stranger. What happens after is just aaaaaaaaah! I love these kinds of videos. Please give it a watch. I promise you’ll smile by the end <3:

Lastly, I shared a picture of some spur of the moment guacamole I made. A friend of mine wanted to get rid of her mortar and pestle and I’ve always wanted one so we met up and she gave me the one in the picture and I got really excited and went out and bought avocados so I can whip up some quick guac. I looooove guac and literally ate this batch which was two big avocados in two days:

And that’s it! Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day which is an excuse to drink a lot for most people. If you decide to partake in green, alcoholic festivities, take a sip (or two) for me and avoid the green noodles! (Noodles should never be green. EVER!)

Have a great weekend everyone. See you Monday!

Facebook Friday 3/9/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Quite a snowy one where I’m located. Spring is when again? Hopefully around the corner especially since Daylight Saving Time is on Sunday. We’re all going to lose an hour (unless you’re in the rest of the world and not subjected to this oh or live in Hawaii or majority of Arizona). Losing time is always so much fun!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I went into this thinking I didn’t have any memes to share but turns out I do have one from last week that I did share and didn’t realize I shared. What if Harry Potter was Harry Otter? These would be the book titles:

Image may contain: text

Next, I didn’t see any cool videos this week for once! But I did see the most hilarious Twitter thread in a while; also animal related:

I mean I laughed like a hyena when I read these especially the first one and it just got better and better! This Gwen woman is brilliant!

Finally, I actually shared quite a few pictures with one occurring last week:

First, my husband and I may or may not have an obsession with Simply juices. From left to right you have Simply Grapefruit, Simply Orange Pineapple, Simply Tropical, Simply Apple and Simply Orange with calcium and Vitamin D added. If you haven’t had these juices…. you should.

Next I shared a picture of King Jerk. He was sitting on me while I was binge watching How to Get Away with Murder and after I snapped the picture I realized it was actually pretty good looking and shared it (I used my phone to take this which is a Google Pixel XL):

Lastly, my husband and I have been trying out the food meal delivery service Hello Fresh. We’re on our second week and I didn’t want to love it but I do. I made Pineapple Poblano Beef Tacos last night and I’ve died and gone to heaven with it’s goodness:

The left picture is the salsa which is poblano, red onion, roma tomatoes, pineapple, cilantro and fresh lime juice and the right is the final product with the seasoned ground beef added and the crema sauce which is basically sour cream mixed with lime juice. This was one meal I wish I could have regurgitated and ate again but I’ll settle for just cooking the recipe again. πŸ˜‰ I had never had a poblano peper before and it’s definitely one of my favorite peppers now. (Also, please excuse any background of my ugly kitchen/mess I made.)

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below and have a wonderful, warm weekend!

See you Monday!

Facebook Friday 3/2/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday! First Facebook Friday of March to be exact. Woot, woot! I don’t know about you all but we’ve had some crazy weather this week in Ohio. It started out nice with some warm 60 degrees and rain. Little signs of spring were popping up everywhere as well and the trees were rejoicing! But then today happened… we got 3-5 inches of snow overnight and the trees are probably a bit shellshocked, haha. Luckily, as most weather changes around these parts, it’ll probably all melt by tomorrow because mother nature just loves making us all topsy turvy every day.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This Facebook Friday is going to be a tad different because I’m going to cheat a little bit. I wasn’t super active on Facebook last week but I did share some pictures that, at the time, I chose not show on here. BUT! Since I have some really awesome blogger friends who find tidbits in my posts that I sneak in (looking at all of you O.O), I’m going to share the pictures from last week and the videos from this week. Unfortunately, my meme game was low this week so no memes this round but I think you’ll enjoy what I have in store anyway.

Up first I shared a cool video of this guy who makes sculptures out of fruits and vegetables:

I don’t know about you guys but I can’t even cut half of these fruits straight let alone make owls and flowers out of them!

The next video I shared was ABSOLUTELY the cutest! Baby chimp Mussa was rescued from poachers and this pilot was tasked with flying him to his new jungle home. I could only just barely handle this level of cute:

Now as for the pictures, as a few of you smart cookies have figured out my news, I’ve decided to share the pictures we posted to Facebook to make the announcement cause you know nothing is official unless you post it on Facebook.

bun-oven

My husband shared this picture first with no words. A few people understood what this meant but most people didn’t. So I shared this photo about 12 hours later:

IMG_20180208_084938.jpg

It suddenly made sense to everyone and a lot of people had a good laugh over my husbands humorous announcement. So yes, I’m pregnant. 21 weeks and 5 days currently. It’s a huge trial that I was not prepared for but I have a pretty good support system that tolerates my body snatcher rants. We opted not to know the gender so when I know in about 4 months, I will share. πŸ™‚

So that’s it for this week’s Facebook Friday. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias? Let me know in the comments below and have a great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. πŸ™‚

Facebook Friday 2/23/18

Man is it just me or did February pass by in the blink of an eye? I checked the calendar this morning and this is the last Facebook Friday of February! (say that three times fast :P). Not much was happening in social media land besides constant talking points on guns of course but I did manage to find some happy spots I’m going to share with you today.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

So this week, I actually did find a meme! I think it’s quite appropriate too since this is pretty much me all day, everyday:

No automatic alt text available.

I have definitely had no time to read these days so becoming a hobo sounds quite appealing right now!

Next up, I’m a bit of a Phantom of the Opera nerd. Which isn’t really true because I’ve only watched the movie version featuring Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum but I have listened to various versions of the soundtracks and I know every song. Phantom of the Opera celebrated 30 years on Broadway this past week so their Facebook page shared lots of interesting fun facts all week long. It was also featured on an episode Jeporardy where it had it’s own category! I always liked guessing the answers to these types of questions so I watched the clip and I actually only missed two I believe! Shocked myself let me tell you. Had to have been a combination of lucky guesses and memory. Check it out for yourselves and see if you can guess the answers before the contestants do:

Lastly, I want to show you all two of the four feral cats that have been plaguing my existence these days. Yes, I know, they’re so cute and look so friendly! Don’t let looks fool you. They’re the spawn of Satan, the little howling demons. I hope as the weather warms up, they find somewhere else to live:

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Have you all seen anything interesting or fun in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a good weekend everyone and see you Monday!

Facebook Friday 2/16/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Today is nice and dark and gloomy. I don’t think we’ll be seeing sunshine today and it’s getting cold again. This up and down with my emotions is not cool Mother Nature!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Another week and no memes. Well, actually, I did see some good memes but they’re politically motivated and if I shared any of them, they’d open up that can of worms. So today’s “meme” is going to be more special! If you haven’t already heard, today is the release ofΒ Black Panther! Perfect timing of course because this is Black History Month and this movie will be epically historic so my meme is just going to be the movie poster to encourage you to go see this movie like I am tomorrow night!

Image result for black panther

On Facebook, I shared two videos this week. The first one is so cute because it’s a baby kanagroo stretching his legs. According to the video, he had only spent time in the pouch and then he was orphaned and if you remember my previous post about being born twice, mama kangaroos help the joeys to learn to hop around. This guy has the joey walk around the house and then uses the pillow case as a “pouch” when baby is done walking. It’s super adorable!

The next video I shared was from a music show called The Four. I don’t actually tune into to music competition shows on TV but I will watch video clips that show up on Facebook or YouTube because I’m a sucker for good singing voices. This guy’s name is Vincint and his rendition of Radiohead’s Creep was absolutely brain freezing. I’ve watched it at least 5 times now because I just can’t get over his voice!

That’s it for Facebook Friday this week. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Let me know in the comments below and have a safe, great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. πŸ™‚
