Facebook Friday 2/16/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Today is nice and dark and gloomy. I don’t think we’ll be seeing sunshine today and it’s getting cold again. This up and down with my emotions is not cool Mother Nature!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Another week and no memes. Well, actually, I did see some good memes but they’re politically motivated and if I shared any of them, they’d open up that can of worms. So today’s “meme” is going to be more special! If you haven’t already heard, today is the release of Black Panther! Perfect timing of course because this is Black History Month and this movie will be epically historic so my meme is just going to be the movie poster to encourage you to go see this movie like I am tomorrow night!

On Facebook, I shared two videos this week. The first one is so cute because it’s a baby kanagroo stretching his legs. According to the video, he had only spent time in the pouch and then he was orphaned and if you remember my previous post about being born twice, mama kangaroos help the joeys to learn to hop around. This guy has the joey walk around the house and then uses the pillow case as a “pouch” when baby is done walking. It’s super adorable!

The next video I shared was from a music show called The Four. I don’t actually tune into to music competition shows on TV but I will watch video clips that show up on Facebook or YouTube because I’m a sucker for good singing voices. This guy’s name is Vincint and his rendition of Radiohead’s Creep was absolutely brain freezing. I’ve watched it at least 5 times now because I just can’t get over his voice!

That’s it for Facebook Friday this week. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Let me know in the comments below and have a safe, great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. 🙂

Facebook Friday 2/9/18

I have never been more happier that it’s Friday than I am today. After my hectic yesterday where I didn’t get to log into WordPress at all (missed Endangered Thursday, sad panda), I woke up super late for work this morning! My alarm must have decided  the weekend came early because I woke up at the exact time that I usually leave to start driving for work. Luckily my boss is understanding! Hopefully the day goes by fast then I can definitely sleep for a whole day with no worries. Let’s get started with Facebook Friday shall we?

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

As far as memes go, I didn’t share any on Facebook or Twitter. I don’t think I saw any good ones that were share worthy enough. It was all about the videos! The first video I shared was one of the Superbowl commercials with Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman but it’s been circulating pretty good so I won’t share it today because I suspect most of you have already seen it. The next video I shared was another Ellen show clip. This one featuring Melissa McCarthy and truly, these two together are just super freaking hilarious. Make sure to watch it long enough to see Melissa McCarthy’s puppy impressions. They are gold!:

This video was actually shared to me by the wonderful Robin over at The Robin’s Nest. She knows how much I love animals, turtles especially, and this video is so heartwarming and just restores your faith in humanity:

In case you didn’t know, loggerhead turtles are critically endangered so this guy is definitely doing a great thing pointing them in the right direction!

Alas, I didn’t share any pictures this week; at least not on social media but I do have a cute cat one for all you lovelies because my cat is such a trip:

Facebook Friday 2/2/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Its the second day of February and you know what that means? Groundhog day! According to NPR this morning, two famous groundhogs saw their shadows this morning so that means 6 more weeks of winter. Nooooo! Just kidding. I’m okay with winter as long as it’s not icy or super windy.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This Facebook Friday is all about animals. Well, almost. I didn’t plan on sharing a meme but a Facebook memory appeared this morning of a meme I shared a year ago and it made me chuckle again so I thought it only fitting I share it with you all as well:

Someone was real clever with words, hehe.

Next, I actually have two videos to share. First one is just plain silly but everytime it makes the rounds, I can’t help watching it because I just love to laugh:

AND! Ironically enough, today is Shakira’s birthday, hahahahaha!

The next video was just the embodiment of love. It’s Ellen Degeneres birthday week and her wife, Portia, came on the show to present her with this most fantastic gift. I don’t want to spoil it by telling you about it so you’ll just have to watch the video. Warning – it might make you cry but I’m a very easy crier so I’m gauging this based off my cry-o-meter:

Lastly, I shared a picture of cabbage, potato, sausage soup I made day before yesterday. It was one of those last minute, “husband go get me groceries cause I’m cooking!” moments because I saw a Facebook video and decided I had to have it. It was quite delicious if I do say so myself!:

And that’s it for Facebook Friday. A lot more than the past couple eh? Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a good weekend everyone! See you Monday! 🙂

Facebook Friday 1/26/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday and the book I’m reading has got me so riveted. I keep stealing pages at work. So bad!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This week I actually shared a meme on Twitter! You remember back in the day when you’d buy those popsicles and you would have the joke on one end of the stick but you’d have to eat the whole popsicle to get the answer to the joke? Or what about those Laffy Taffy candies that always came with like 2 jokes on the wrapper? For example, “What kind of tree grows in your hand? A palm tree. Come on? That’s funny right?? Did you chuckle a little bit? Okay maybe you’ll chuckle at this one:

Next up I shared this most hilarious video. I seriously can’t watch it without laughing really hard. Its a man who has figured out there’s a rat in his bathroom so he takes his cat in there to investigate and take care of the problem. The resulting reaction is positively gold. You’ll watch it it once and then watch it again just so you can keep laughing, I guarantee it!:

Lastly, I didn’t take photos this week so I have nothing to share this time! Sorry! But I hope I brought a smile and maybe a chuckle to your face on this finally, sunny Friday.

Hey, hey, it’s Facebook Friday!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

My social media game has been pretty low this week. I didn’t share much of anything. I was more of a lurker. Plus, with moving the blog over, among other things, it was just one of those low social weeks. Today I’m going to share two videos that I watched that I thought were pretty spectacular even though I didn’t share them on my feed.

The first one, in one word to me, is chemistry. I don’t make a habit of watching ice skating often but this couple is so beautiful and the tricks they do, my goodness:

I may or may not got distracted watching it again….. The whole routine stops at 3:40 so you don’t have to watch the end with all the cheering and scores if you don’t want to but wow, the skill and coordination… fantastic.

The next one is just short and cute elephant butt:

And then lastly, I shared a picture of my cat next to my tablet. It was pretty chilly that day so I was cuddled real good under the blanket getting ready to read and Mr. Monkeychin decided to visit and stay awhile:

Hey, hey, it’s Facebook Friday!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I went back through my Facebook and Twitter feed and it was all about videos. No pictures and no memes. Actually, there was one picture of me sharing a picture of my cup of chili from Wendy’s because a friend happened to be eating Wendy’s chili for dinner the same night I was! Tragically, the same night I got my chili, my Wendy’s location burned down to the ground. I was exceptionally sad about that because now I have to drive further to get my beloved chicken nuggets. (I know, that’s a terrible thing to say but no one was hurt!)

So today all I have for you is two videos. The first video was posted by Disney and it’s called “Food Art”. Give it a watch! People are so talented:

The next video is a short interview on the Ellen show. I just love Ellen Degeneres. She just seems like such a fun and cool person. Anyway, she had Margot Robbie on her show discussing the first time the two of them had ever met. If you don’t know who Margot Robbie is, she’s been the star in some movies like Suicide Squad where she played Harley Quinn or Focus where she was like Will Smith’s thieving sidekick. The story of their meeting is hysterical. Its so hysterical that you can hardly believe it happened! It involved Ellen, Portia (her wife) and Barrack Obama! Trust me! Just watch it especially if you need a laugh:

That’s it for Facebook Friday. Did you see anything interesting or fun in your social medias this week?? Let me know in the comments below. Have a good weekend everyone and if you live in an area that’s about to get an ice storm, like me, stay warm and stay safe!

Speech

I literally  had a whole post written up for today. Truly, I did. And then I took a minute (more like ten) to watch a speech because my coworker insisted that I do. I don’t watch award shows very much. Really the only one I make a point to watch every year are the Grammys cause I love music and I love watching people come together over music. Last night, the Golden Globes aired on TV and it got a huge amount of hype. I mean it does every year when you have a ton of actors, actresses and directors coming together to celebrate each other and their accomplishments. This year, all the glamorous people wore black. The color black was to symbolize that time is up in regards to people getting away with sexual harassment and abuse in Hollywood and recognizing those who have been strong to come out and tell their “MeToo” stories. The highlight of the night however, besides historical award wins was Oprah Winfrey’s speech when she accepted the Cecil D. Demille Award. I just watched it and let me tell you, I was as moved as everyone in the audience. I mean not only is she eloquent with her words but the conviction in her tone, you can just tell she made a giant impact on everyone in that audience and everyone who watched it secondary like I just did. So, instead of the long post I initially wrote up for today, I’m sharing her speech instead and highly encourage you to watch all 9 minutes and 40 seconds of it because I promise you, it will surely be one you remember:

Facebook Friday 1/5/18

Hey, hey, it’s Facebook Friday and the first Facebook Friday post of the new year! Woot woot!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

So, I’m cheating a little bit. This Facebook Friday is going to be a combination of Christmas week and this past week. I was actually more active this week than the previous one but since I already shared my breakfast pictures, I had to reach back a bit to find another one. Although I did share a picture of my spaghetti dinner last night because it was National Spaghetti Day but you all know what spaghetti looks like. 😉

I actually shared a meme in the past two weeks! It was on Twitter but it was a good one:

As for the video, I found this one on Facebook this week and was absolutely mesmerized. How are people so talented?? You have to give this a watch and hopefully it doesn’t want to make you want to buy her art like it made me want to:

Lastly, besides the spaghetti and breakfast chili pictures, I shared a picture of me and my grandma taking a selfie on Christmas Day. I also took a picture of the temperature in my car today to share with the screenshot of what my weather app told me the weather was this morning so I knew how to dress:

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Did you see anything interesting in your social media this week or last? How do you feel about watching artsy type videos? Is it as cold where you are as it is where I am? Let me know in the comments below! Have a good weekend everyone!

Facebook Friday 12/22/17

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday! I almost forgot to post cause I usually post while I’m at work but now I’m off for days, haha.

I usually post a meme, video and a picture of my own but I truly have not been very active on Facebook this past week. However, a friend shared a Facebook memory of a picture I posted last year in the spirit of Christmas and this is the photo I will share.

Merry Christmas from Santa cat and my family to yours. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I’ll see you on Tuesday!

Facebook Friday 12/15/17

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Sorry I did not post yesterday! Time escaped me and ran very far! There will definitely be an Endangered post next week. But for now, let’s view some things to make us smile shall we?

My meme game on social media has been pretty nonexistent. I just haven’t seen any good ones worthy enough to share these days! However, I did share a video as well as a picture.

The video I shared warmed my heart to infinity and beyond. If I ever had the opportunity to encounter this type of situation, I don’t even know! It’s so beautiful! The guy in the video has such a sweet nature too!

The pictures I shared are actually updated from last Facebook Friday. Remember those mushrooms that were growing out of the wood planks? Well, in 5 days, they bloomed! Currently they are still there but at the rate we’re going through the wood for shipping purposes, they probably won’t be for much longer:

And that’s it! TGIF! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and if you seen or watched anything cool in your social medias this week, let me know in the comments below! 🙂
