Facebook Friday 3/16/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Man did I have a busy week! I have not read a book in a little over a week sadly (not including a certain ARC). Something about Spring being possibly on the horizon that gets you up and doing all kinds of projects. Our latest one is remodeling all the floors in the downstairs of our house before the baby gets here. We’ve had so many free estimate visitations and gone to so many stores but we may have finally settled on the place to get materials and the actual contractor who will do the work. Cross your fingers!

Surprisingly, I did share a bit on social media. Actually surprised myself cause I don’t remember sharing anything until I went back and look. So let’s get the fun stuff started eh??

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I actually shared two memes! Both of them occurred on Twitter and it’s really easy to hit that retweet button even when you’re on the go. These memes got me all nostalgic about when I’ll be able to dive good into my reading again:

Now if you’ve seen the television show “Community” you’d understand this parody chalkboard message. If you haven’t, well, Google the phrase “treat yo ‘self” and introduce yourself to hilariousness.

Here’s the second meme:

If you didn’t know, now you do! I don’t know about you all but I use a lot of these sayings so thank you Shakespeare!

Next, I shared a video on Facebook that is so adorable to me. The guy in this video is the dog’s owner but he had a long stint in the hospital and lost 50 pounds so his dog doesn’t even recognize him and is nervous because he believes he’s approaching a stranger. What happens after is just aaaaaaaaah! I love these kinds of videos. Please give it a watch. I promise you’ll smile by the end <3:

Lastly, I shared a picture of some spur of the moment guacamole I made. A friend of mine wanted to get rid of her mortar and pestle and I’ve always wanted one so we met up and she gave me the one in the picture and I got really excited and went out and bought avocados so I can whip up some quick guac. I looooove guac and literally ate this batch which was two big avocados in two days:

And that’s it! Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day which is an excuse to drink a lot for most people. If you decide to partake in green, alcoholic festivities, take a sip (or two) for me and avoid the green noodles! (Noodles should never be green. EVER!)

Have a great weekend everyone. See you Monday!

🙂

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Quite a snowy one where I’m located. Spring is when again? Hopefully around the corner especially since Daylight Saving Time is on Sunday. We’re all going to lose an hour (unless you’re in the rest of the world and not subjected to this oh or live in Hawaii or majority of Arizona). Losing time is always so much fun!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I went into this thinking I didn’t have any memes to share but turns out I do have one from last week that I did share and didn’t realize I shared. What if Harry Potter was Harry Otter? These would be the book titles:

Image may contain: text

Next, I didn’t see any cool videos this week for once! But I did see the most hilarious Twitter thread in a while; also animal related:

I mean I laughed like a hyena when I read these especially the first one and it just got better and better! This Gwen woman is brilliant!

Finally, I actually shared quite a few pictures with one occurring last week:

First, my husband and I may or may not have an obsession with Simply juices. From left to right you have Simply Grapefruit, Simply Orange Pineapple, Simply Tropical, Simply Apple and Simply Orange with calcium and Vitamin D added. If you haven’t had these juices…. you should.

Next I shared a picture of King Jerk. He was sitting on me while I was binge watching How to Get Away with Murder and after I snapped the picture I realized it was actually pretty good looking and shared it (I used my phone to take this which is a Google Pixel XL):

Lastly, my husband and I have been trying out the food meal delivery service Hello Fresh. We’re on our second week and I didn’t want to love it but I do. I made Pineapple Poblano Beef Tacos last night and I’ve died and gone to heaven with it’s goodness:

The left picture is the salsa which is poblano, red onion, roma tomatoes, pineapple, cilantro and fresh lime juice and the right is the final product with the seasoned ground beef added and the crema sauce which is basically sour cream mixed with lime juice. This was one meal I wish I could have regurgitated and ate again but I’ll settle for just cooking the recipe again. 😉 I had never had a poblano peper before and it’s definitely one of my favorite peppers now. (Also, please excuse any background of my ugly kitchen/mess I made.)

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below and have a wonderful, warm weekend!

See you Monday!

Facebook Friday 3/2/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday! First Facebook Friday of March to be exact. Woot, woot! I don’t know about you all but we’ve had some crazy weather this week in Ohio. It started out nice with some warm 60 degrees and rain. Little signs of spring were popping up everywhere as well and the trees were rejoicing! But then today happened… we got 3-5 inches of snow overnight and the trees are probably a bit shellshocked, haha. Luckily, as most weather changes around these parts, it’ll probably all melt by tomorrow because mother nature just loves making us all topsy turvy every day.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This Facebook Friday is going to be a tad different because I’m going to cheat a little bit. I wasn’t super active on Facebook last week but I did share some pictures that, at the time, I chose not show on here. BUT! Since I have some really awesome blogger friends who find tidbits in my posts that I sneak in (looking at all of you O.O), I’m going to share the pictures from last week and the videos from this week. Unfortunately, my meme game was low this week so no memes this round but I think you’ll enjoy what I have in store anyway.

Up first I shared a cool video of this guy who makes sculptures out of fruits and vegetables:

I don’t know about you guys but I can’t even cut half of these fruits straight let alone make owls and flowers out of them!

The next video I shared was ABSOLUTELY the cutest! Baby chimp Mussa was rescued from poachers and this pilot was tasked with flying him to his new jungle home. I could only just barely handle this level of cute:

Now as for the pictures, as a few of you smart cookies have figured out my news, I’ve decided to share the pictures we posted to Facebook to make the announcement cause you know nothing is official unless you post it on Facebook.

My husband shared this picture first with no words. A few people understood what this meant but most people didn’t. So I shared this photo about 12 hours later:

It suddenly made sense to everyone and a lot of people had a good laugh over my husbands humorous announcement. So yes, I’m pregnant. 21 weeks and 5 days currently. It’s a huge trial that I was not prepared for but I have a pretty good support system that tolerates my body snatcher rants. We opted not to know the gender so when I know in about 4 months, I will share. 🙂

So that’s it for this week’s Facebook Friday. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias? Let me know in the comments below and have a great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. 🙂

Facebook Friday 2/23/18

Man is it just me or did February pass by in the blink of an eye? I checked the calendar this morning and this is the last Facebook Friday of February! (say that three times fast :P). Not much was happening in social media land besides constant talking points on guns of course but I did manage to find some happy spots I’m going to share with you today.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

So this week, I actually did find a meme! I think it’s quite appropriate too since this is pretty much me all day, everyday:

No automatic alt text available.

I have definitely had no time to read these days so becoming a hobo sounds quite appealing right now!

Next up, I’m a bit of a Phantom of the Opera nerd. Which isn’t really true because I’ve only watched the movie version featuring Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum but I have listened to various versions of the soundtracks and I know every song. Phantom of the Opera celebrated 30 years on Broadway this past week so their Facebook page shared lots of interesting fun facts all week long. It was also featured on an episode Jeporardy where it had it’s own category! I always liked guessing the answers to these types of questions so I watched the clip and I actually only missed two I believe! Shocked myself let me tell you. Had to have been a combination of lucky guesses and memory. Check it out for yourselves and see if you can guess the answers before the contestants do:

Lastly, I want to show you all two of the four feral cats that have been plaguing my existence these days. Yes, I know, they’re so cute and look so friendly! Don’t let looks fool you. They’re the spawn of Satan, the little howling demons. I hope as the weather warms up, they find somewhere else to live:

That’s it for Facebook Friday! Have you all seen anything interesting or fun in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a good weekend everyone and see you Monday!

Facebook Friday 2/16/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Today is nice and dark and gloomy. I don’t think we’ll be seeing sunshine today and it’s getting cold again. This up and down with my emotions is not cool Mother Nature!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

Another week and no memes. Well, actually, I did see some good memes but they’re politically motivated and if I shared any of them, they’d open up that can of worms. So today’s “meme” is going to be more special! If you haven’t already heard, today is the release of Black Panther! Perfect timing of course because this is Black History Month and this movie will be epically historic so my meme is just going to be the movie poster to encourage you to go see this movie like I am tomorrow night!

On Facebook, I shared two videos this week. The first one is so cute because it’s a baby kanagroo stretching his legs. According to the video, he had only spent time in the pouch and then he was orphaned and if you remember my previous post about being born twice, mama kangaroos help the joeys to learn to hop around. This guy has the joey walk around the house and then uses the pillow case as a “pouch” when baby is done walking. It’s super adorable!

The next video I shared was from a music show called The Four. I don’t actually tune into to music competition shows on TV but I will watch video clips that show up on Facebook or YouTube because I’m a sucker for good singing voices. This guy’s name is Vincint and his rendition of Radiohead’s Creep was absolutely brain freezing. I’ve watched it at least 5 times now because I just can’t get over his voice!

That’s it for Facebook Friday this week. Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Let me know in the comments below and have a safe, great weekend everyone!

See you Monday. 🙂

Facebook Friday 2/9/18

I have never been more happier that it’s Friday than I am today. After my hectic yesterday where I didn’t get to log into WordPress at all (missed Endangered Thursday, sad panda), I woke up super late for work this morning! My alarm must have decided  the weekend came early because I woke up at the exact time that I usually leave to start driving for work. Luckily my boss is understanding! Hopefully the day goes by fast then I can definitely sleep for a whole day with no worries. Let’s get started with Facebook Friday shall we?

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

As far as memes go, I didn’t share any on Facebook or Twitter. I don’t think I saw any good ones that were share worthy enough. It was all about the videos! The first video I shared was one of the Superbowl commercials with Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman but it’s been circulating pretty good so I won’t share it today because I suspect most of you have already seen it. The next video I shared was another Ellen show clip. This one featuring Melissa McCarthy and truly, these two together are just super freaking hilarious. Make sure to watch it long enough to see Melissa McCarthy’s puppy impressions. They are gold!:

This video was actually shared to me by the wonderful Robin over at The Robin’s Nest. She knows how much I love animals, turtles especially, and this video is so heartwarming and just restores your faith in humanity:

In case you didn’t know, loggerhead turtles are critically endangered so this guy is definitely doing a great thing pointing them in the right direction!

Alas, I didn’t share any pictures this week; at least not on social media but I do have a cute cat one for all you lovelies because my cat is such a trip:

Facebook Friday 2/2/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday!

Its the second day of February and you know what that means? Groundhog day! According to NPR this morning, two famous groundhogs saw their shadows this morning so that means 6 more weeks of winter. Nooooo! Just kidding. I’m okay with winter as long as it’s not icy or super windy.

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This Facebook Friday is all about animals. Well, almost. I didn’t plan on sharing a meme but a Facebook memory appeared this morning of a meme I shared a year ago and it made me chuckle again so I thought it only fitting I share it with you all as well:

Image may contain: text

Someone was real clever with words, hehe.

Next, I actually have two videos to share. First one is just plain silly but everytime it makes the rounds, I can’t help watching it because I just love to laugh:

AND! Ironically enough, today is Shakira’s birthday, hahahahaha!

The next video was just the embodiment of love. It’s Ellen Degeneres birthday week and her wife, Portia, came on the show to present her with this most fantastic gift. I don’t want to spoil it by telling you about it so you’ll just have to watch the video. Warning – it might make you cry but I’m a very easy crier so I’m gauging this based off my cry-o-meter:

Lastly, I shared a picture of cabbage, potato, sausage soup I made day before yesterday. It was one of those last minute, “husband go get me groceries cause I’m cooking!” moments because I saw a Facebook video and decided I had to have it. It was quite delicious if I do say so myself!:

And that’s it for Facebook Friday. A lot more than the past couple eh? Did you see anything interesting in your social medias this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a good weekend everyone! See you Monday! 🙂

Facebook Friday 1/26/18

Hey, hey! It’s Facebook Friday and the book I’m reading has got me so riveted. I keep stealing pages at work. So bad!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

This week I actually shared a meme on Twitter! You remember back in the day when you’d buy those popsicles and you would have the joke on one end of the stick but you’d have to eat the whole popsicle to get the answer to the joke? Or what about those Laffy Taffy candies that always came with like 2 jokes on the wrapper? For example, “What kind of tree grows in your hand? A palm tree. Come on? That’s funny right?? Did you chuckle a little bit? Okay maybe you’ll chuckle at this one:

Next up I shared this most hilarious video. I seriously can’t watch it without laughing really hard. Its a man who has figured out there’s a rat in his bathroom so he takes his cat in there to investigate and take care of the problem. The resulting reaction is positively gold. You’ll watch it it once and then watch it again just so you can keep laughing, I guarantee it!:

Lastly, I didn’t take photos this week so I have nothing to share this time! Sorry! But I hope I brought a smile and maybe a chuckle to your face on this finally, sunny Friday.

Hey, hey, it’s Facebook Friday!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

My social media game has been pretty low this week. I didn’t share much of anything. I was more of a lurker. Plus, with moving the blog over, among other things, it was just one of those low social weeks. Today I’m going to share two videos that I watched that I thought were pretty spectacular even though I didn’t share them on my feed.

The first one, in one word to me, is chemistry. I don’t make a habit of watching ice skating often but this couple is so beautiful and the tricks they do, my goodness:

I may or may not got distracted watching it again….. The whole routine stops at 3:40 so you don’t have to watch the end with all the cheering and scores if you don’t want to but wow, the skill and coordination… fantastic.

The next one is just short and cute elephant butt:

And then lastly, I shared a picture of my cat next to my tablet. It was pretty chilly that day so I was cuddled real good under the blanket getting ready to read and Mr. Monkeychin decided to visit and stay awhile:

Facebook Friday 1/12/18

Hey, hey, it’s Facebook Friday!

Facebook Fridays is a weekly segment of RT where I share some fun stuff I observed on Facebook this past week. I share a fun meme or screenshot, a video that resonated in some capacity and a photo of my own.

I went back through my Facebook and Twitter feed and it was all about videos. No pictures and no memes. Actually, there was one picture of me sharing a picture of my cup of chili from Wendy’s because a friend happened to be eating Wendy’s chili for dinner the same night I was! Tragically, the same night I got my chili, my Wendy’s location burned down to the ground. I was exceptionally sad about that because now I have to drive further to get my beloved chicken nuggets. (I know, that’s a terrible thing to say but no one was hurt!)

So today all I have for you is two videos. The first video was posted by Disney and it’s called “Food Art”. Give it a watch! People are so talented:

The next video is a short interview on the Ellen show. I just love Ellen Degeneres. She just seems like such a fun and cool person. Anyway, she had Margot Robbie on her show discussing the first time the two of them had ever met. If you don’t know who Margot Robbie is, she’s been the star in some movies like Suicide Squad where she played Harley Quinn or Focus where she was like Will Smith’s thieving sidekick. The story of their meeting is hysterical. Its so hysterical that you can hardly believe it happened! It involved Ellen, Portia (her wife) and Barrack Obama! Trust me! Just watch it especially if you need a laugh:

That’s it for Facebook Friday. Did you see anything interesting or fun in your social medias this week?? Let me know in the comments below. Have a good weekend everyone and if you live in an area that’s about to get an ice storm, like me, stay warm and stay safe!
